"Grey is the price..." Federation Forest and Mount Rainier, July 21, 2013

We spent a sun-filled day in the forest, then drove to Mount Rainier for some spectacular sightseeing. I always love it when the mountain is out (only about a third of the year, by the way), but this was an up close and personal viewing.

.             I've never had bloodier, more painful blisters. JC walked my ass off....but then he let me borrow his shoes until I could buy new ones. The girl at the store laughed when she saw my three pairs of socks and man shoes. And then I had NEW shoes - well worth every ruble.              .
